August 10, 2007:  To more accurately reflect its industry focus, Powerbase changes its legal corporate name to: "Powerbase Energy Systems Inc."  In a letter to all company employees, Corporate President Robert Morley wrote: "I am pleased to announce that effective today, the Powerbase company name has been legally changed to "Powerbase Energy Systems Inc."  The new name more closely reflects the direction the company is taking in the renewable energy field."


August 2, 2007:  OPA (Ontario Power Authority) has granted its first SOC (Standard Offer Contract) for a Biogas - Anaerobic Digester system to Fepro Farms (Klaesi Farm) located near Cobden, Ontario.  Powerbase Energy Systems Inc. submitted the contract application process for the Klaesi Farm, as part of its "complete customer service commitment".

Biogas created by the Klaesi anaerobic digester is converted into electricity and heat by the Synergy Biopower System. Designed and manufactured in Canada by Powerbase, the Synergy System is a containerized, turnkey, state-of-the-art heat and power system for biofuel applications.


July 25, 2007:  Today the Synergy Biopower Biogas system located at the Klaesi Farm in Cobden Ontario has successfully passed Hydro One inspection tests and the unit is now approved for full operation.
